
Significant changes to casual employment
Susan Moran 28/04/2021On 26 March 2021, the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) (Fair Work Act) was amended by the Fair Work Amendment (Supporting Australia’s Jobs and Economic Recovery) Act 2021. The amendments significantly change workplace rights and obligations in respect of casual employees. Employers with a casual workforce should consider how these changes will impact them and the steps they need to take to comply with their obligations.
